The Journal

Notes on curiosity, craft, and the small things worth noticing.

This is where we think out loud.

The Journal is a quieter corner of The Critical Consumer — a place for the ideas, questions, and small discoveries that don’t always fit neatly into a product description. Sometimes it’s a story behind something we made. Sometimes it’s just something we noticed and couldn’t stop thinking about.

There’s no schedule here, and no pressure to keep up. Come by when you’re curious.

A mix of things, really.

Behind-the-scenes looks at how our collections come together. Reflections on why certain ideas feel worth pursuing and others don’t. The occasional list, the occasional tangent, the occasional half-formed thought we decided to share anyway.

Nothing here is trying to sell you something. It’s just us, thinking.

We write the way we make things: slowly, and only when it feels honest.

We’re not interested in filling space or chasing trends. If we publish something, it’s because we found it genuinely interesting — and we think you might too. That’s the only bar we try to clear.

Take a look around.

Come back whenever you’re curious. New entries will appear here as they’re written.
